Summer Camp for Your Child’s Brain
Brain Booster Camp is a unique add-on supplement to your child’s existing summer schedule. Summer day camps and sports camps provide excellent physical, social, and creative experiences, but are lacking in activities that challenge and stimulate the mind. Our Brain Booster Camp is a specialized program designed to keep your child’s brain focused over the long summer break and prevent “summer learning loss,” which studies have shown can lead to the loss of a full month of learning.
Our program offers short 1.5 hr sessions, flexible hours, and only meets 2-3 per week, so that it easily works around any schedule. It is the ideal complement to your child’s day or sports camp and is also available as a stand-alone activity for those days where your child is in-between camps or has a few extra days to fill before or after vacation.
Brain Booster Camp for children (ages 7-12) and teens (ages 13-18)
Developed by Dr. Kamran Fallahpour, Ph.D., using the latest technology and approaches based on decades of neuroscience research.
Through neurofeedback, a non-invasive method to retrain brain states using brain plasticity, we are able to help children and teens improve cognitive function, retain learning, and improve academic skills, as well as successfully treat children with attention difficulties – without medication.
We are excited to offer two distinct Brain Booster programs for Summer 2017:
- Peak Performance Training
- Achieve Greater and Easier Academic and Testing Success
- Sharpen Focus and Improve Memory
- Accelerate Learning Speed
- Increase Overall Confidence and Reduce Self-Consciousness
- Feel Comfortable Speaking Publicly
- Reduce Stress, Social Anxiety, and Test Anxiety
- Increase Creativity & Musical Abilities
* Standard Training Program or Brain Mapping upgrade available.
- Significantly Improve Impulse Control & Hyperactivity
- Sharpen Focus & Attention Span
- Reduce Test Anxiety
- Improve Social Skills
- Boost Self Esteem
- Improvement in academic performance
* Our goal is to eliminate or reduce the use of medication whenever possible.
Our Academic Performance Campers have the option of using our Standard Training Program, or upgrading to our Brain Mapping Custom Program, where Dr. Fallahpour will use a non-invasive, individualized, in-depth assessment to design a neurofeedback training program personalized to fit your child’s individual abilities and goals.
For our ADHD/ADD Program, we require all campers complete a Brain Mapping & Neurocognitive Profile, as the nature of the treatment is most effective when it is uniquely tailored to the child’s brain.
Brain Booster Camp runs throughout the summer with flexible daily scheduling, as well as Saturday hours.
Each camp session lasts 1.5 hours, and is scheduled 2-3 times per week. The 1.5 hour session typically consists of two neurofeedback training sessions combined with a short brain-focused educational activity in between, including:
- mindfulness meditation
- stress management
- self regulation exercises
We recommend starting with a minimum series of 10 sessions, and offer package pricing as well as individual one-day passes for campers who want to add additional days as their schedule allows.
We are happy to accommodate vacation schedules that interrupt the series of sessions as long as all of the sessions are completed before the last day of camp.
